Will these under 2-minute videos impress you?

This week I am sharing the videos that slipped by my judgmental side and touched my emotions.

#3 Security camera ads will never age!

#2 I love everything about this video; the effects, colors, the song, the message… It’s full of emotions…

#1 I won’t say anything about this last video, all I say is: it’s BRILLIANT!

What did you feel watching these videos? Could they touch your feelings?

PR through Prank?

Adobe is organizing creativity days. Instead of long ‘blah-blah-blah’s on the cause, it simply made a video to portray this idea.

We like seeing explosion of emotions. We like surprised/excited/happy faces. So Adobe took this simple idea, put it into a bus stop in Sweden, then placed the video on Internet. Simple, low-cost, fun and 12 million hits!

How do you promote a cell phone that reacts when you look at it? Voila! A Staring Contest!

Coca-Cola: Top 4 ideas

Everyone has heard some horror stories about what Coke does to your body, it’s not funny: Americans ingest 1.7 million tons — or 10.8 pounds per person — of sugar each year from Coca-Cola alone . But it’s still the top-selling soft drink globally. Yes, the secret lies under the fact that it’s ‘addictive’, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The underlying success for Coca-Cola’s multi-billion profits is its PR and marketing strategy. In 2010 alone Coca-Cola spent $2.9 billion on promotion!

Coca-Cola has a smart PR strategy: (1) it touches consumers’ hearts (by presenting a problem, by acknowledging a source of pride, or simply by talking happiness), (2) creates positive emotions (makes people dance, sing, hug the Coke machine) and only after that (3) they present the product (give free Coke).

Check out my 4 favorite smart projects by Coca-Cola:

4. Combining ‘happiness’ with technology

3. Inspiring sharing, the global language to everyone’s heart

2. Dance for the Coke

1. Going one step further – touching the sensitive intercultural issues

I don’t remember when I had Coke for the last time, but I am addicted to their PR work! Are you too?

3 insPiRational campaigns

Here are the 3 PR campaigns that have ‘wooooooooow’ed me:

3. Pantene Beautiful Lengths by DeVries PR

Want to donate your hair to make wigs for cancer patients? Join this campaign.

2. FedEx Panda Express by Ketchum PR

FedEx shipped pandas from China to zoos in Edinburgh and Paris on the FedEx Panda Express. How simple and how adorable!

1. KRAFT Macaroni Cheese & Cheddar Explosion by Hunter PR

Okay, this one is awesome! KRAFT is launching a new product – Macaroni Cheese & Cheddar Explosion. Somewhere far away, Irving City Council is planning to demolish its Texas Stadium. KRAFT sponsors the demolition project by donating money to the charity. BUT there’s more! KRAFT holds essay contest among the kids, the winner pushes the button to demolish the stadium! What a smart product launch!!!

Beer buddies = Facebook friends

Awesome campaigns are the ones that connect different dots of our lives that we use every day, like Facebook, friends and beer. How cool is this?!

All great posters/ads:

-Show something common with a slight ‘weirdness’. It will raise question in a viewers’ mind.

– They will look closely to solve the puzzle, then they will get your message.

– They will feel connected, inspired and you just made your viewer feel smarter. ..He just solved the puzzle.

Here are a few awesome examples:

1. An ad produced by Ogilvy in Saudi Arabia to fight the violence against women.

2. Forbes ad demonstrating their exclusive access to business world.

3. Dove raises awareness among moms and  discusses the problem: teens are ashamed of their bodies.
